A fine spring day, full of potential, but with only a chiff-chaff appearing. One was singing late afternoon from near the town Hall. I was down at Balcomie in the morning. A few dunlin were amongst the ringed plovers on the beach, lots of skylarks singing and a nice, grey heron stalking the rock pools at Fife Ness. Two pink-footed geese flew up from the rocks, perhaps having a rest on their way north as was a redwing at Kilminning.
