There was some visible migration today as the temperatures finally crawled up. Meadow pipits were passing over Crail all day going along the coast east and eventually north. A v of greylag geese flew over on a more direct heading. I kept on looking up all day every time the gulls made a fuss hoping for an osprey. This is about the best time of year to get lucky with one overhead heading up to the Highlands. Ospreys look fairly gull like from below and of course only eat fish but the gulls behave like an eagle is going over.
